About
A long view on what endures.
The story
Who I am and why I invest this way.
MX Squared is a personal vehicle for long-horizon, high-conviction investing. Independent, not a fund manager and not a committee. That matters because the businesses worth backing do not always fit a pre-existing capital identity, and I do not think the investor should start by forcing them into one.
My perspective was not formed inside a conventional venture template. It was shaped by thinking about real businesses over long periods, by taking compounding seriously, and by paying attention to what survives friction rather than what merely photographs well at the start. That background pushes me toward substance, endurance, and value creation that can hold up outside narrative cycles.
Today I sit at the intersection of venture, technology, and industry. Close enough to venture to understand how powerful it can be. Close enough to technology to take the age of AI seriously. Close enough to industry to know that operational reality, strategic relevance, and market structure still matter more than slogans.
The future, as I see it, is not just that the biggest incumbents eat everything. There will be many new big ones. The interesting work is in being part of that development as AI changes how value is created across both technology and industry, and as new companies emerge at their intersection with venture rather than only at its familiar edges.
Where I sit
Background, position, and value creation in the age of AI.
Background
A long-horizon business frame
The frame comes from taking real businesses seriously over long periods of time. Endurance matters. Quality of economics matters. The ability to keep compounding through difficult markets matters. That perspective naturally pushes toward patience, selectivity, and substance over noise.
Where I sit
At the intersection of venture, technology, and industry
That is where my judgment is most useful. Venture remains important, but it is not exhaustive. Technology, especially AI, is changing what kinds of businesses can exist. Industry keeps you honest about whether something is strategically meaningful in the real world. The overlap between those three worlds is where I want to spend time.
Future
Value creation in the age of AI
AI changes how businesses are built, how much leverage small teams can have, and where new value can emerge. I do not think the future is simply that the largest incumbents eat everything. There will be many new big ones. I want to be part of the development that interacts with both technology and industry as those new businesses are created.
